Shiatsu is a Japanese form of massage therapy. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words - "shi" (finger) and "atsu" (pressure). In addition to the direct stimulation of pressure points along the energy pathways of your body, gentle stretching techniques are applied over a wider area of the body to integrate the point work and encourage the flow of Chi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit.
Open gate lymphatic work, is dramatically different than most. It is based on the philosophy if you remove blockage and open fascia gates the lymphatic system will start moving on its own. Unlike most lymphatic work that pushes and squeezes lymph to move it, open gate works to remove scar tissue blockages, release fascia valves that clamp down on lymphatic duct, and start the lymphatic pump, thoracic breathing.
Scar tissue work STRAT
Works to reduce visual as well as internal Scar tissue and adhesions. This technique requires very sensitive touch, the practitioner must be able to feel the scar tissue and follow it with the appropriate amount of pressure to its end. Practitioners who have mastered the skill of this type of scar tissue work can make amazing changes as the scar tissue becomes part of the fascial plane.
